On June 3, Vice Governor of Hunan Province Li Youzhi presided over a conference on the deployment of the 14th Chinese Bridge - Chinese Proficiency Competition for Foreign College Students and its related work.

The competition is an important platform to promote Chinese language and culture to the world. Held annually in Hunan since 8 years ago, it has become a new image to showcase Hunan’s achievement in its opening up, and a significant approach for international students to learn from and exchange with each other.

At the conference, Mr. Li has proposed four requirements on the overall planning, firstly, promote quality to enlarge influence; secondly, enhance friendship to publicize positive energy; thirdly, spare no effort to ensure a safe and high-quality competition; and fourthly, utilize the opportunities brought by the “Chinese Bridge” to develop related projects.
