Bringing global opportunities in Hunan and taking Hunan's advantages to the world

On October 22, Yu Hongsheng, vice governor of Hunan Province, attended and addressed the opening ceremony of the 3rd Hunan Fair for Trade & Investment & International Chambers of Commerce Hunan Tour. Also present were Phouvong Bounsou, chairman of the Administrative Committee of Vientiane Province of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, and Ding Guorong, chairman of the Economic Committee (EC) of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC).

There were 16 government and official institutions, 46 overseas business associations and investment promotion agencies, and 63 overseas enterprises from 39 countries and regions invited to participate in this fair. Nearly 200 foreign guests promoted Hunan's business environment and advantageous industries to the world, helping to attract international enterprises to invest and cooperate in Hunan.

Vice Governor Yu noted that Hunan is now embracing major opportunities empowered by national strategies and accelerated industrial upgrading. The province boasts five national advanced manufacturing clusters, including construction machinery, rail transit equipment, small and medium aviation engines, the new-generation independent and secure computing systems, and ultra-high voltage power transmission and transformation equipment. It is also focusing on cultivating emerging pillar industries such as intelligent robots and the new-generation information technology. With two national-level platforms, the China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo and the Pioneering Zone for In-depth China-Africa Economic and Trade Cooperation, Hunan has so far attracted 212 Fortune Global 500 companies to invest and develop here.

Hunan will advance the targeted alignment of advantageous industries with global markets, scientific and technological innovation, and capital resources, bringing global opportunities in Hunan and taking Hunan's advantages to the world. He expressed the hope that international business associations and overseas enterprises and institutions will fully play their bridging role, recommending more high-quality enterprises to set up in Hunan, and deepening practical cooperation in fields such as advanced manufacturing, intelligent robots, and advanced materials. Hunan will provide full-cycle support for collaboration projects, to enable all parties to gain a greater sense of fulfillment while developing in Hunan.
