The 4th Hunan (Changsha) - Northern Europe Biomedicine and Big Health Industry Cooperation Forum was held at the Changsha National High-Tech Industrial Development Zone (Changsha High-tech Zone) on October 26.
Experts, professors and entrepreneurs from Changsha and four Nordic countries - Sweden, Norway, Finland, and Denmark, attended. They communicated with each other and held in-depth discussions on cooperation s. Zhang Hongyi, CPC Changsha Municipal Committee Standing Committee member and Organizational Department director, was present.
A roadshow to introduce Nordic projects such as “Development of New Diagnostic Methods and Drugs for Senile TTR Amyloid Cardiomyopathy” was held at the forum, attracting many Changsha enterprises.
A number of cooperation intentions were reached on site. The Changsha Overseas Liaison Station Nordic Station (Nordic Association for Sustainable Development) signed a contract with the Changsha Federation of Women Entrepreneurs to jointly build an investment platform.
The four Nordic countries enjoy a good reputation in the field of life sciences, and have mature cutting-edge technologies. Changsha’s biomedicine and big health industry has developed rapidly in recent years, with an output value exceeding 100 billion yuan. The two sides have broad prospects for cooperation.
The forum was co-sponsored by the Changsha Science and Technology Bureau and Changsha High-tech Zone Management Committee; and, undertaken by the Changsha Overseas Talents Innovation and Entrepreneurship Base and Changsha Overseas Liaison Station Nordic Station (Nordic Association for Sustainable Development).
