The competitiveness of Hunan mobile Internet companies is improving; industrial projects is flourishing, and PK and Kunpeng industrial ecosystems are taking place, according to the Hunan Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology.
In the first three quarters, the revenue of mobile Internet companies in Hunan was estimated to be 117.6 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 19.9%. The mobile Internet industry has maintained fast growth. Hunan’s 86 key mobile Internet enterprises registered a revenue of 31.71 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 22.8%. These enterprises’ profits increased 20% to 1.37 billion yuan. A total of 31,880 jobs were created, up by about 50%.
Hunan released 100 landmark projects for the 2020 "Digital New Infrastructure Construction" this August. With a total investment of 56.38 billion yuan, the projects covered four major areas: 5G, big data, artificial intelligence, and industrial Internet. Pactera’s regional headquarters is located in Changsha; Epoint Co., Ltd. will build a central China regional headquarters R&D center and operation center in Changsha; Alibaba (Hunan) will intelligently transform the Furong business district into a national influential benchmark.
According to the "2020 Changsha Internet Development White Paper", Changsha ranked sixth nationwide and first in central China in terms of so comprehensive index in the national Internet city development index ranking.
