Governor Xu chairs a meeting in Shaodong on featured industrial town development.

On April 1, Xu Dazhe, deputy secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and Hunan governor, chaired a meeting in Shaodong on the construction of featured industrial towns in the province.

Governor Xu inspects a group of companies and industrial parks in Lianqiao Town and Xianchaqiao Town before the meeting to learn about featured towns’ development and companies’ operation. He visited poverty-alleviating workshops and village health center in Qianzi Village in Xianchaqiao Town to observe local poverty alleviation.

He heard reports by the representatives from 10 featured industrial towns, and spoke highly of featured town construction progress in the province. He noted that, featured town construction is based on both new urbanization and rural revitalization, and is an important support to high-quality economic development. We should, with Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era as a guiding principle, build a batch of small attractive featured towns with featured and strong industries, comprehensive functions, and innovative and flexible mechanism, so as to facilitate new urbanization and industrial transformation and upgrades.
