The Changsha Metro Group announced on February 4 that all Changsha's six metro lines and the Changsha Maglev Express Line would extend service hours until 00:10 the following day from February 4 to 8. The Shantang-Xiangtan North Station section of the Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan Intercity Railway West Ring Line, which is an extension to Changsha Metro Line 3, is excluded. The aim is to provide more convenience for residents and tourists to return home and travel before the Spring Festival holiday.

During the extended period, metro trains run at 20-minute intervals, while maglev trains run at 10-minute intervals. Passengers are advised to make travel arrangements in advance.
