The Rehabilitation Centre of the Hunan Children's Hospital received a letter of thanks and a silk banner from Kazakhstan on August 15, ahead of Chinese Doctors' Day which falls on August 19 every year. In the letter, the boy's mother, Yernur Bolat, expressed deep gratitude for the hospital's medical care for her 16-month-old child who suffered motor development problems caused during premature birth.
The family had sought medical help in their home country, but without improvements. Upon the recommendation of a Chinese friend, they came to the Hunan Children's Hospital. After just one course of treatment, the child showed significant improvement, being able to roll over, sit steadily on his own, and interact with others.
During the treatment, the hospital together with a charity organization provided free accommodation for Yernur Bolat where she could personally prepare suitable food for her boy.
Yernur Bolat repeatedly expressed her appreciation for the warm-hearted transnational care they received. She was deeply impressed and touched by the professionalism and kindness of each of the medical staff from the hospital leaders, nursing workers, to the coordination staff.
To meet the healthcare needs of international families with children aged 18 and under, the Hunan Children's Hospital offers fast-track service. Its international medical clinic and inpatient ward provide comprehensive services including health check-ups, outpatient consultations, and hospitalization, as well as a series of patient-centered services such as staggered appointments for non-infectious cases and comprehensive accompaniment during visits. Currently, the hospital is actively expanding medical collaboration with neighboring countries, aiming to provide more international pediatric patients with high-quality and accessible medical services.
