African Vlogger Finds Happiness While Living in Changsha


Okeke Chibuike Godsfavour, a native of Nigeria, came to China with his parents at the age of 5 and received education in China since childhood. In 2016, he came to Changsha to study at Hunan Normal University, thus forming an indissoluble bond with this city.

During his college years, the singing-loving man often performed on the streets of Changsha with his friends. His African appearance while singing Chinese songs attracted people's attention, and a video shot by a passerby made him popular online. Later, he signed a contract with a media company in Changsha and became an online live streamer. With his fluent Chinese and Cantonese, he has gained a large number of fans, reaching 3.1 million followers on Douyin (Chinese version of TikTok). In Changsha, Okeke has not only achieved success in his career but also met his wife and established a happy family. For him, Changsha has good public facilities, education and medical conditions, and an affordable cost of living. He feels happy living here.
