A promotion conference on the Fourth China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo (CAETE) was held in Yiwu, Zhejiang Province on May 9, 2025. The meeting aimed to connect enterprises in Hunan and Zhejiang with the African market. The event served as a prelude, promoting the upcoming CAETE which will be held in Changsha this June.

The fourth session has extended invitations to Chinese and African enterprises, business associations, and financial institutions, supporting deep participation of business entities in the expo. It has paid more attention to the market demand through exhibition area arrangement, activity planning, project matchmaking, and counterpart reception. At the promotion meeting, the persons in charge of Zhejiang-Africa Service Center, Yiwu China & Africa Business Council, Zhejiang Africa Holding Group, Zhejiang Ethiopia Supply Chain Co., Ltd., and ARISE IIP shared their experiences on such topics as investment in African market and industrial chain cooperation for the participating enterprises.

"The construction of the Pioneering Zone for In-depth China-Africa Economic and Trade Cooperation has achieved remarkable results. Our trade with Africa kept growing in 2024. We welcome all parties to join us and share common prosperity," said Liu Delin, director of the Port Office of the People's Government of Hunan Province. The Fourth CAETE's launch and invitations are in the final stage. Hunan-Zhejiang coordination will lead more Chinese enterprises to take advantage of the expo to dig deep into the African market, advancing China-Africa cooperation to wider fields with comprehensive expansion.

The Fourth CAETE will be held in Changsha between June 12 and 15, 2025. A number of economic and trade activities will be organized focusing on the sectors of China-Africa partnership in infrastructure, agricultural cooperation, clean energy, textiles and garments, digital economy, and green minerals, as well as such topics as the Dialogue of Chinese and African CEOs, Dialogue of Chinese and African Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and Project Matchmaking of the Pioneering Zone for In-depth China-Africa Economic and Trade Cooperation.
