The 2023 Hunan Spring Festival Travel Rush Work Video Teleconference was held in Changsha on January 4. Hunan Vice Governor Chen Fei attended and delivered a speech. He then led a team to inspect preparation work for the Spring Festival travel rush.

Vice Governor Chen pointed out that relevant departments and units at all levels should fully understand the new situation and tasks of the Spring Festival travel rush this year; strictly implement the national and provincial arrangements and requirements for the Spring Festival travel rush work; and, make all-out efforts to coordinate both epidemic prevention and control and travel rush security, so as to ensure a safe, healthy, convenient, and comfortable Spring Festival travel rush.

He asked relevant departments and units at all levels to:

- Carry out safety inspections, conduct comprehensive inspections of personnel, equipment and facilities, rules and regulations, and emergency plans, and immediately rectify hidden dangers if they are found;

- Implement the latest epidemic prevention and control requirements, do a good job in disinfection and medical supplies in service areas, railway stations, high-speed railway stations, bus stations, airports, and other places, and intensify health protection of front-line workers and passengers;

- Reduce congestion and ensure smooth flow, strengthen organizational and operational preparations, and resolve "the last mile" problem in the countryside;

- In view of the significant surge in passenger flow during the Spring Festival, strengthen care and concern for the elderly, young, diseased, disabled, and pregnant, and protect the rights and interests of military, public security, firefighting, and medical workers; and,

- Maintain a pragmatic and meticulous working style, shoulder responsibilities, and strictly implement the 24-hour on-the-job and leaders taking the lead system.
