On the morning of January 26, CPC Hunan Provincial Committee Deputy Secretary and Hunan Governor, Xu Dazhe, discussed government work, planning, and budget reports with Changsha delegation deputies. He stressed the importance of following the guidance of President Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, and implementing the new development concept. The government should make efforts to increase all around capabilities and development vitality; improve people’s livelihood; and, take the lead in promoting high-quality development.

 

Provincial leaders, Hu Henghua and Wang Kemin, and Secretary General, Wang Qun, also attended.

 

Changsha deputies Chen Wenhao, Yuan Can, Zhang Yingchun, Zhu Xunde, Ling Yunjian, Liu Feifei, Duan Yanwen, Luo An, Li Li, Chen Xiaojun, and Xuan Juren, made suggestions regarding:

-pushing Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan City Cluster integrated development;

-continuing the streamlining of administration, delegation of powers, and improving regulation and services;

-strengthening innovation mechanism construction;

-expanding channels for attracting investment;

-accelerating the “Digital Hunan” transformation;

-training persons in charge of “Lotus Schools” (schools built in Hunan’s 40 lower-income counties);

-building healthy communities; and,

-developing the Yuelu Mountain National University Science and Technology Town.

 

Governor Xu carefully listened and responded to their opinions and suggestions. He said that, recent years have seen remarkable results in Changsha’s economic and social development. In the next step, we should further implement innovation-oriented opening-up and development strategy, and give priority to quality, efficiency, safety, and innovation, so as to build a more prosperous, beautiful, and happier Hunan.
