The organizing committee of the 5th International Summit on BDS Applications recently announced that this year's summit is scheduled to take place from September 15 to 16 in Zhuzhou. The event is jointly hosted by the National Development and Reform Commission, the Cyberspace Administration of China, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Transport, and the People's Government of Hunan Province.

Under the theme "One World, BDS with You—Empowering the Globe," this year's summit will include an opening ceremony, a main forum, thematic forums, academic exchanges, a scenario demonstration, and local characteristic activities. It aims to serve as a platform for large-scale applications and scenario demonstrations, a hub for technological innovation and industrial cooperation, a showcase for policy release and practical exchanges, and an event for international collaboration and overseas promotion, showcasing the latest technological achievements, application scenarios, and industrial ecosystem of BDS comprehensively.

Since it was first held in Hunan in September 2021, the BDS Summit has been held for four consecutive sessions, consistently focusing on core objectives such as BDS technology promotion, scenario applications, and industrial cultivation. Currently, BDS has been deeply and widely implemented across multiple scenarios, with its spatio-temporal services capabilities integrated into all aspects of people's livelihoods and industrial development. For smart city construction, BDS precisely empowers refined urban governance. For the intelligent transportation sector, centimeter-level positioning technology supports the iterative upgrade of autonomous driving. For disaster prevention and mitigation, BDS can accurately capture subtle deformations in reservoirs, dams, and mountains, reinforcing the geological disaster defense line. Meanwhile, BDS's distinctive capabilities such as time synchronization for financial markets, communication in extreme environments, and climate monitoring continue to be highlighted, creating a complete intelligent spatio-temporal service network that empowers a better life through technological strength.
