The fourth Shaoyang Tourism Development Conference will take place in Wugang City on June 29 and 30, 2025.

Wugang is a cultural city with over 2,200 years of history. It is home to the Yunshan National Forest Park, the 69th blessed land in Taoism, which boasts rolling clouds and mist-covered peaks.

Themed "Wugang--Millennium-Old City, Blessed Land", the conference will feature activities in a "4+N" format.

The four main activities are:
-- The opening ceremony of the conference and a cultural tourism promotion event will fully showcase the unique charm of Wugang.

-- An on-site observation tour will take visitors on a night stroll through the ancient Xizhi Street, allowing them to experience the distinctive allure of Shaoyang's intangible cultural heritage, explore the cultural codes in Wugang's millennia-old history, and savor local cuisine.

-- The All-for-One Tourism Development Conference of Shaoyang City will gather minds to chart a new course for growth.

-- The "Liuyueliu Carnival" tasting event will enable visitors to experience folk traditions firsthand. A grand hundred-table feast will be held around the Tongbao Tower, with over 100 restaurants across the city simultaneously hosting tasting banquets. Visitors can also enjoy free beer and join the locals in praying for blessings and good fortune. The sweet confession—"If you love someone, bring him/her to Wugang for a tasting feast!"—will spread far and wide.

A series of exciting supporting activities will also kick off during the conference, including:
--"Cheer for Shaoyang," a national travel agents' exploration tour;
-- "Flavors of Shaoyang" Food Season, igniting a culinary frenzy in the "home of Chinese pot-stewed food."
-- The Football Tournament of the Hunan Provincial Middle School Student Games; and,
-- A cultural and creative competition, reliving the memories of Wugang and awakening the city's heritage.
