The 2025 Yueyang Marathon, also the China Athletics Association 10Km Elite Series (Yueyang), is scheduled to take place at 7:30 am on April 6. As reported by the organizing committee on February 10, the 2025 Yueyang Marathon can accommodate 20,000 participants. Less than two hours after registration opened, all slots for both the full marathon and half marathon were filled. Currently, the fun run is also fully booked, while registration for the 10-kilometer race remains open.
The event is co-hosted by the Hunan Provincial Administration of Sport and the People's Government of Yueyang City. It will center around three iconic landmarks: Yueyang Tower, Junshan Island, and Dongting Lake. The race categories include the full marathon (42.195 km) with 4,000 participants, the half marathon (21.0975 km) with 10,000 participants, the 10-km race with 3,000 participants, and the fun run (approximately 5 km) with 3,000 participants.
The main venue or the starting line and the finishing line for the full marathon are both located at the Exhibition Hall of Initiative to Protect the Yangtze River. The finish line for the half marathon will be located at the Balin Square in front of the Yueyang Tower, while the 10-km race will conclude at the Dongting Lake Museum, and the fun run will finish at the Jiangtunwan Sports Park.
