This Russian couple had compared six renowned scenic spots across China before settling on Zhangjiajie as their destination. "It's amazing and spectacular — even more beautiful than what we saw on posters and in movies!" After arriving on July 26, they immersed themselves in the core attractions — Tianzi Mountain, Yuanjiajie, and Baofeng Lake, marveling at Zhangjiajie's breathtaking scenery.

According to Tang Dunhua, manager of Zhangjiajie China Travel Service, the company has received 5,000 Russian tourists so far this year and projects a total number of 10,000 by the end of the year. With ongoing upgrades to the Greater Zhangjiajie International Tourism Area, local cultural and tourism offerings are diversifying and Russian tourists' travel preferences are shifting from traditional sightseeing to immersive experiences in mountain wellness, folk culture, and traditional Chinese medicine therapies. The international tourism industry in the region is maturing steadily.

Industry insiders note that Zhangjiajie's stunning natural scenery and diverse cultural offerings continue to draw overseas visitors, fueling a sustained boom in the inbound tourism market. Russian travelers are now a major force in Zhangjiajie's inbound tourism. Data shows that Zhangjiajie National Forest Park has received nearly 60,000 Russian visitors so far this year, a more than fourfold increase year on year.
