Hunan has welcomed another inbound tour group of over 100 people. On May 16, 156 Filipino tourists arrived at Changsha Huanghua International Airport on a charter flight, embarking on a five-day in-depth tour to Changsha, Zhangjiajie, and Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture. This marks the maiden flight of the Changsha–Manila route operated by Hunan Huatian International Travel Service, and also Hunan's first inbound tourism charter flight route launched for the Philippine market this year.

The "Manila–Changsha–Manila" inbound air route is scheduled to operate from May 15, 2026, to March 27, 2027, and is expected to bring nearly 20,000 tourists from the Philippines and Southeast Asia to Hunan. It is reported that tickets for the first three flights on this route have already sold out, indicating a strong market response.

In the coming days, these Filipino tourists will stroll along the Orange Isle, experiencing the historical and cultural heritage along the Xiangjiang River; visit HB (Changsha) Film Town, where film culture and tourism leisure are organically integrated; and then head to Zhangjiajie and Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture to marvel at the amazing views of the world natural heritage sites. The itinerary also specially includes folk experience activities such as the Tujia lanmen wine ceremony, showcasing the unique charm of Hunan culture through immersive experiences.
