Shen Xiaoming, secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, met in Changsha with Vanessa Tsin-Jie Li, ambassador of Suriname to China, and a delegation of the "Regional Tours for Transnational Corporations to Assist High-quality Development" on May 18.

Secretary Shen, on behalf of the provincial Party committee and the provincial government, welcomed the delegation and briefed them on Hunan's profile. He stated that Hunan is forging ahead towards the direction set by President Xi Jinping, constantly accelerating progress in building the "Three Hubs" while taking solid steps to advance high-quality development.

Hunan, especially Changsha, boasts abundant scientific and educational resources, a low cost of living, and a city vibe that is highly appealing to young people. Changsha is now going all out to build itself into a global R&D center, create a destination for college students to innovate and start businesses, and accelerate building Hunan into a youth-friendly province. He expressed the hope that the delegation will take this visit as an opportunity to learn more about Hunan, actively promoting deeper cooperation and exchanges between transnational corporations and Hunan, so as to achieve greater mutual benefits and win-win outcomes.

Ambassador Vanessa Tsin-Jie Li and the representatives of the delegation extended gratitude for Hunan's hospitality, and introduced Suriname's national conditions and the development status of their respective companies. They noted that Hunan has a comprehensive industrial system and a vibrant urban vitality. They expect to take the tour in Hunan as an opportunity, to further strengthen exchanges and cooperation with Hunan in such fields as agriculture, economy and trade, culture, and tourism, sharing the opportunities and outcomes of development.

Yang Wanming, president of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC), and Hunan provincial leader Yu Hongsheng, attended the meeting.
