On April 14, the 2026 China-Russia International Cultural Exchange Event (Golden Square · Zhangjiajie) held a rehearsal and a folk fashion show competition at the Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon Scenic Area. More than 300 professional and folk artists from 11 regions of Russia staged performances, alongside local intangible cultural heritage inheritors. Over 100 sets of traditional Chinese and Russian clothes made a stunning appearance on the mist-shrouded glass bridge, attracting numerous tourists to take photos.

Using the glass bridge as a natural runway, models dressed in traditional Chinese and Russian attire walked gracefully, with the deep canyon below and the spectacular peaks and sea of clouds in the distance. The embroidery and beadwork on the garments engaged in a dialogue with the natural landscapes, a conversation that transcended time and space. Russian attire featured vibrant colors and intricate craftsmanship, while Chinese ethnic costumes were distinguished by silver ornaments and embroidery. The two styles complemented each other  beautifully among the clouds and mist of the glass bridge, each beautiful in its own way, together creating a vision of harmonious coexistence. In addition, the event featured performances of Tujia folk songs, Sichuan opera face-changing, Yakut Khomus, and the Vajra Longevity Qigong, fully showcasing the charm of Chinese and Russian cultures.

A Russian tourist remarked, "I really love China's natural landscapes. Overall, it's wonderful here—these mountains are truly impressive. Although the weather isn't great today, I'm still very happy."

This event was jointly organized by the Zhangjiajie and Russia's "Golden Square" International Cultural and Educational Project. The initiative not only provided a platform for Chinese and Russian artists to exchange views and showcase their creations, but also allowed tourists to appreciate the diverse cultural charms of both countries while enjoying the scenic beauty. The event further innovatively promoted cultural exchange and cultural tourism integration between China and Russia.
