On March 11, Changsha hosted a specialized matchmaking event on international commercial and legal affairs in the Philippines, to assist Hunan enterprises in going global and achieving "legal-commercial win-win outcomes."

China and the Philippines are friendly neighbors connected by the sea. The economic and trade exchanges between Hunan Province and the Philippines have grown increasingly close, while industrial cooperation has deepened significantly. Among these collaborations, the Davao Port expansion project with participation from the Sany Group, and the intelligent equipment solutions provided by Zoomlion for the Manila Metro, have both become exemplary models of China-Philippines industrial capacity cooperation.

Nearly 200 attendees attended, including official representatives from the Philippine Consulate General in Guangzhou, senior experts from the legal and commercial circles of both China and the Philippines, and Hunan entrepreneurs. Through an integrated approach combining "policy interpretation + practical case studies + legal empowerment," the event aimed to build a bridge for collaboration, enabling Hunan enterprises to better understand, familiarize themselves with, and enhance their engagement with the Philippine market.

A special session on investment compliance and market access in the Philippines was also held. Relevant Hunan enterprises not only introduced their company profiles and overseas expansion needs, but also sought advice on issues encountered during international business operations. The expert panel provided solutions or recommendations. An overseas manager from a Hunan-based construction machinery company said, "We always wanted to enter the Philippine market but felt uncertain about local laws and policies. Today, the Philippine lawyers provide detailed explanations, and the experts clearly outline the Outward Direct Investment (ODI) filing process. We finally understand how to take that first step."
The event was organized by the Changsha Municipal Bureau of Justice, the Entrepreneurship Service Center of the Xiangjiang New Area (Changsha High-Tech Industrial Development Zone), and the Hunan (Changsha) Foreign-related Legal Services Cluster. Gao Jianxiang, consultant (grade 3) of the Changsha Municipal Bureau of Justice, stated that the bureau is currently making every effort to advance the development of the Hunan (Changsha) Foreign-related Legal Services Cluster. They will continue to integrate professional resources, establish a regularized coordination mechanism, and provide full-lifecycle support services for enterprises. This initiative aims to contribute Changsha's judicial strength to building a closer China-ASEAN community with a shared future.
