On January 26, the Xinhua to Xinning section of the G59 Huhhot-Beihai Expressway officially opened to traffic. Spanning 192.3 kilometers, with a design speed of 100-120 kilometers per hour, the Xinhua-Xinning Expressway runs from Xinhua County in Loudi City in the north to Xinning County in Shaoyang City in the south, passing through Longhui County and Wugang City. Its completion and opening to traffic will reduce the travel time between central and southwestern Hunan from approximately six hours to around two hours, significantly improving regional transportation conditions. This will inject new vitality into Hunan's connection with the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and promoting cultural tourism and economic growth along the route.
