2025 China International Rail Transit and Equipment Manufacturing Industry Exposition Opens in Zhuzhou

The 2025 China International Rail Transit and Equipment Manufacturing Industry Exposition kicked off in Zhuzhou on the morning of November 7, 2025. Mao Weiming, deputy secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and governor of Hunan Province, announced the opening of the expo.

Zhang Xiangchen, deputy director-general of the World Trade Organization, delivered a video address. Provincial leaders Zhang Jianfei, Jiang Difei, and Li Jianzhong attended, along with Fu Zhihuan, Tian Hongqi, Ding Rongjun, and Luo An, academicians of the Chinese Academy of Engineering. Also present were government officials from Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, and other countries.

As China's first national-level international specialized exhibition in the rail transit and equipment manufacturing sector, the China International Rail Transit and Equipment Manufacturing Industry Exposition is held biennially and has successfully hosted three sessions in Hunan. This year's event, themed "Rail links the world, maglev connects the future," is jointly organized by the Hunan Rail Transit Equipment Industry Association and the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products.


Beyond the opening ceremony and the China High-speed Maglev Technology Innovation Conference, the expo features nine high-level forums addressing topics such as industrial chain and supply chain ecosystem development, smart and green growth, technological innovation, and standardization. There are also five major exhibition zones showcasing rail transit equipment manufacturing, key components and raw materials, and cutting-edge technology demonstrations. More than 500 domestic and international enterprises and organizations from countries including Russia, Hungary, Sweden, the United States, Germany, and France are participating. The exhibition is projected to record more than 30,000 professional visits.

Zhuzhou, capital of China's rail transit equipment, boasts the nation's largest, most comprehensive, and most well-developed rail transit equipment industrial cluster. The city has gathered over 400 enterprises along the industrial chain, including the CRRC Zhuzhou Locomotive Co., Ltd. and the CRRC Zhuzhou Institute Co., Ltd., achieving a local supply rate exceeding 80%. Last year, the total scale of Zhuzhou's rail transit industrial cluster surpassed 170 billion CNY, ranking first nationwide. The products were exported to over 100 countries and regions worldwide.
