At the event, a handover ceremony was held for the host city of the 8th China-France Cultural Forum. Changsha Vice Mayor Qian Lixia presented the flag, symbolizing the forum's rotation between cities in China and France, to David Ros, senator of Essonne.

This year's forum featured 15 distinctive cultural and artistic exchange activities. They included six parallel forums on themes such as "Cultural Tourism and Urban Development," "Artificial Intelligence and Cultural Innovation," "Dialogue between Chinese and French Young Artists," "Art Education and Talent Exchange," "Performing Arts and Cultural Dissemination," and "Culture and Museum Sectors and Cultural Heritage Protection"; a roundtable dialogue among mayors and parliamentarians; a Chinese and French artists' concert; and, an exhibition showcasing Hunan's intangible cultural heritage. All these events highlighted rich and vibrant connotations and achievements in cultural, artistic, and economic exchanges between the two nations.
