The winter flight season this year commenced on October 26, according to the national unified civil aviation arrangements. The Hunan Airport Management Group announced that during the winter flight season, the airports around the province are scheduled to handle 5,800 flights weekly, connecting 128 domestic and international cities.

During this period, some key domestic routes will achieve "high-frequency shuttle service" in the new season. For instance, the Hunan-Beijing Express Line will operate 30 flights daily on average; the Hunan-Shanghai Express Line, 16 flights daily; the Hunan-Sichuan Express Line, 17 flights daily; and, the Hunan-Hainan Express Line, 20 flights daily.

Changsha Airport will expand its domestic aviation service network in three major directions—towards Xinjiang, the southwest, and the northeast regions of China. The airport is actively developing an air corridor from Central China to Xinjiang, planning to add air routes and increase flight frequency from Changsha to Xinjiang's Urumqi, Hotan, Hami, Qitai, and Yining cities. Meanwhile, more flights and new routes to Lijiang, Xishuangbanna, Dali, and Tengchong in Yunnan Province will be arranged, catering to tourist preferences for warm winter. In response to the flourishing ice and snow tourism, flights will link Hunan with seven airports across the three northeastern provinces of Liaoning, Jilin, and Heilongjiang, with new destinations including Yingkou and Changbaishan airports. Additionally, Changsha Airport will exclusively launch 13 unique routes from Central China to cities such as Nanjing, Wuxi, Changzhou, Hechi, Baoshan, and Weihai.

The nine regional airports across the province are scheduled to handle 1,090 flights weekly. Zhangjiajie Airport will add flights or increase flight frequency to Fuzhou, Xi'an, and Jinan. Changde Airport will add or increase flights to Dalian and Lijiang. Yueyang Airport will add routes or increase flights to Beijing, Shanghai, Xi'an, and Yulin. These nine regional airports operate flights to 29 domestic airports with annual passenger volumes exceeding ten million, allowing passengers to reach over 70% of the major hubs around the country.

Internationally, Changsha Airport plans to launch new air routes to Jakarta and Hong Kong, while increasing flights to Osaka and Hanoi. Zhangjiajie Airport is scheduled to open new routes to Singapore, Bangkok, Penang, and Sabah. The volume of international and regional flights will reach 234 weekly.

In collaboration with several partner institutions, Hunan's airports will offer a series of "Tour Hunan with One Flight Ticket" aviation-tourism integrated products during this flight season. With their valid air tickets or boarding passes, passengers can enjoy discounts at multiple core scenic areas, culture-tourism performances, and selected hotels in Changsha, Zhangjiajie, and Shaoshan within seven days before or after their flights.
