Within 14 days, the Hunan Airport Industrial Co., Ltd. Zhangjiajie Branch has initiated and launched belly cargo freight service on three international routes, to Hong Kong, Seoul, and Singapore. This service has bridged the gap in air freight options from Zhangjiajie to South Korea, and the "triple launch" momentum has accelerated the building of a multi-dimensional international logistics network. The total volume of transported goods related to such service has exceeded 3.5 tonnes.

The belly cargo freight service was firstly launched on the Zhangjiajie-Hong Kong air route on October 1, leveraging the belly capacity of regular passenger flights between Zhangjiajie and Hong Kong. The cargo mainly included specialty agricultural products, electronic goods, and cross-border e-commerce commodities from Hunan's Xiangxi and surrounding regions. This enables efficient transportation of local products to Hong Kong and around the world, opening an "air express" for export of regional specialty products.

The belly cargo freight service began operation on the Zhangjiajie-Seoul route on October 13, marking a milestone for Zhangjiajie airport in international freight service. As the first air shipment since the opening of the Zhangjiajie-South Korea route, this change concluded the passenger-only service history of this route. The inaugural flight carried 0.96 tonnes of goods, including circuit boards and other goods, from Zhangjiajie and surrounding areas, shrinking the transportation time to within 3 hours. This service has not only set up an "air freight corridor" linking Hunan enterprises with South Korean partners, but has also helped build Zhangjiajie into a new logistics hub connecting northwestern Hunan with the Northeast Asian markets.

On October 14, the same service became available on the Zhangjiajie-Singapore route, mainly catering to the needs of the Southeast Asian markets. The inaugural flight transported 1.5 tonnes of general trade goods from Zhangjiajie to Singapore, further enhancing Zhangjiajie's international logistics network connectivity with Southeast Asia.

So far, a total of 2.7 tonnes of cargo have been transported through the three routes. Efforts will be made to gradually build an international freight service system based on market demand, covering Hong Kong and Macao, connecting with Japan and South Korea, and extending to Southeast Asia.
