The 17th Hunan Tea Industry Expo concluded successfully on September 22.
A total of 1,200 enterprises participated in this four-day event, with the number of visits by visitors and exhibitors hitting 63,000. The total transaction volume through online and offline channels reached 575 million CNY, including 265 million CNY in physical transactions.
As an annual grand event in Hunan's tea industry, the expo serves as an important platform for display and marketing, cooperation matchmaking, brand promotion, and industrial upgrading.
Representatives from eight key counties and county-level cities featuring distinctive advantages in tea industry—Jishou, Taojiang, Guzhang, Baojing, Yuanling, Huitong, Anhua, and Sangzhi—took the stage successively, showcasing the characteristics and vitality of their tea industries.
Major tea enterprises displayed a variety of deep-processed products such as tea ice cream, tea beer, tea spray, and tea toothpaste, demonstrating diverse value of tea leaves. These deep-processed tea products, including functional ingredient extracts from tea leaves, supply chains of new-style Chinese tea beverage, new-style tea beverages, and tea-infused alcoholic drinks, were well-received by exhibitors, resulting in intended orders exceeding 57 million CNY.
A series of tea-related activities were organized, such as "Children Tour the Tea Expo," "Tea Culture Performances," and "Inheritance of Tea Processing Techniques Intangible Cultural Heritage." The venue was filled with the delicious aroma of tea, attracting a steady stream of visitors.
Beyond that, the expo also hosted various activities like an award ceremony for the "Three Top 10 in Tea Industry" selection—top 10 counties (county-level cities), top 10 tea brands, top 10 sci-tech leading enterprises; a selection and award ceremony for the "Shennong Cup Five-Star Tea Products;" a new-style tea beverage innovation forum; and, sales event of daily tea drinks.
