Mao Weiming, deputy secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and governor of Hunan Province, inspected some enterprises and major projects in Hengyang on June 27, 2025. Governor Mao asked to thoroughly implement President Xi Jinping's important speeches and instructions on Hunan's work, playing a leading role as an economic powerhouse. Governor Mao emphasized that efforts should be made to maintain steady growth based on the principle of achieving more than half of the targets in the first half of the year. In specific, we should:

- Highlight the major projects, doing well in project planning and implementation, and service and security work, to form more practical workload as soon as possible;

- Prioritize the advantageous industries, focusing on electric power equipment, measurement and testing, and other characteristic advantageous industries, to reinforce and upgrade weak links in the industrial chains, and to promote the agglomeration and development of industrial clusters to turn the industrial advantages into growth advantages;

- Expedite the layout of future industries based on the "15th Five-Year Plan," arranging the advanced computing, embodied intelligence, and other future industries in advance, to speed up the deep integration of science and industry, giving rise to more new growth points; and,

- Improve the business environment, optimizing the whole process of government services, solving the difficulties that the enterprises may encounter, regularly carrying out such initiatives as "Going to the Grassroots, Identifying Problems, Finding Solutions, and Promoting Development" and "Three Deliveries, Three Solutions, and Three Improvements," to create a market-oriented, law-based, and internationalized environment for steady growth.
