The 13th Macao International Travel (Industry) Expo was held in Macao from April 25 to 27. The event was attended by representatives from the Hunan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, the Changsha Municipal Bureau of Culture, Tourism, Radio and Television, the Changsha Library, the Kaifu District Bureau of Culture, Tourism and Sports, and the Tianxin District Bureau of Culture, Tourism and Sports, as well as relevant travel agencies from Changsha.

On April 25, Changsha released four distinctive inbound tourism routes at a promotion conference themed "Happy Changsha, Charming Star City." These routes highlighted the city's long history, natural scenery, cultural creativity, and leisure life, showcasing the city's cultural and tourism appeal. An invitation was extended to guests and media representatives to experience the city's charm.

The Hunan exhibition area featured Changsha's municipal-level intangible cultural heritage representative item—traditional incense-making techniques, and creative cultural products such as Shaping Xiang embroidery, Hunan Museum-branded fans, and Tongguan Kiln-themed fridge magnets, as well as local delicacies. Visitors were seen selecting their favorite herbs, grinding them into powder, and crafting exquisite sachets. Many enthusiastically purchased Changsha-themed cultural tourism products. Professional buyers from countries such as Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Canada, Russia, Sweden, and Poland also came to inquire and negotiate.

The expo served as a bridge for cooperation between Hunan and Macao. The Changsha delegation engaged in in-depth exchanges with local Macao tourism enterprises, achieving substantive progress in cultural and tourism industry collaboration.

Changsha and Macao have been both awarded the title of "Culture City of East Asia". The Changsha Municipal Bureau of Culture, Tourism, Radio, and Television and the Macao Cultural Affairs Bureau conducted a series of exchange activities centered on building the "Culture City of East Asia" brand. They focused on discussing library operations and promoting national reading.

Since the implementation of the 240-hour visa-free transit policy, Changsha has been actively expanding inbound tourism. This participation in the 13th Macao International Travel (Industry) Expo marked the city's first promotional and exchange event in Macao following the introduction of the 2025 Changsha Inbound Tourism Promotion Work Plan. It aimed to tell Changsha's stories to the world and showcase its unique charm.
