Alex Robinson, a well-known British writer and geographer, was enchanted by the spectacular light show along both sides of the Xiangjiang River during his boat trip on April 7.

"This amazing illumination on all the different buildings coordinated in this way. It's really beautiful. I think this is one of the absolute must-see not just in Hunan but in China. I'd recommend anybody visiting China to do this. Boat trip on the river is fabulous beautiful," he said.
