The 2024 Hunan Botanical Garden "Love of Summer" Flower Exhibition opened recently, and will last until late July. More than 30,000 hydrangeas in over 20 varieties are in full bloom at the garden.

The designated areas for hydrangea flower appreciation are located in the Cherry Blossom Square and the Children's Botanical Garden. The Cherry Blossom Square has a hydrangea planting area of about 7,000 square meters and boasts multiple varieties. The hydrangea planting area near the Children's Botanical Garden is relatively quiet, creating an immersive space for visitors to enjoy the flowers. In addition to hydrangeas, visitors can also appreciate Chinese roses, roses, and a sea of cosmos flowers at the World Famous Flower Square near the north gate of the Hunan Botanical Garden.

During the flower exhibition, a public welfare performance gala themed "Love of Summer" will be staged. Furthermore, science popularization activities and study tours will also be organized, including a journey of soil exploration, night tours of the Hunan Botanical Garden, and a science and technology activity week.

The performance gala is an outcome of the long-term cooperation between the Hunan Botanical Garden and Changsha Song and Dance Theater. A total of four performances will be staged in two days, including dance, acrobatics, and folk music.
