The China Academy of Launch Vehicle Technology (CALT) Hunan Branch was unveiled at the Jinxia Economic and Technological Development Zone, Changsha on November 20. The unveiling ceremony was attended by Zhou Haibing, vice governor of Hunan Province and mayor of Changsha City; Zhang Hongjun, deputy general manager of the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation and member of its CPC Leadership Group; Wang Guohui, secretary of the CPC Committee of CALT; Peng Tao, vice mayor of Changsha; and Xu Fan, secretary general of the Changsha Municipal People's Government.
The CALT Hunan Branch will focus on four major business areas in the field of aerospace — new aircraft, comprehensive equipment support, joint innovation and research and development, and "space +" industries. Additionally, the branch will deploy the innovation chain based on the industrial chain and deploy the industrial chain based on the innovation chain. Efforts will be made to strengthen, consolidate, and extend industrial chains, so that innovation, industrial, capital, and talent chains can be deeply integrated. The branch will strive to build an aerospace industry ecosystem featuring the integrated development of "industry, university, research, supply, and guarantee" to serve Hunan's modern industrial system construction.
