Starting from June 1, 2023, the Changsha Maglev Express Line would extend its operating hours on weekends and holidays (including the day before a holiday) from 7:00-22:30 to 7:00-23:00, according to the official WeChat account of Hunan maglev. Approved by the superior authority, the decision was made to satisfy tourists' demand for green travel and to further improve the service quality of the line.

On weekends and holidays (including the day before a holiday), the departure times of the last trains from Changshanan Station (or Changsha South Railway Station) and Huanghua Airport Station on the line are 22:30 and 23:00, respectively. The first trains from both stations continue to depart at 7:00 as usual.
