The annual China Brand Day falls on May 10 every year after the State Council approved its establishment in 2017.
According to the Hunan Development and Reform Commission, 130 Hunan's homegrown famous and innovative brands will be presented online. Nearly 100 representatives will attend the offline exhibition at the Hunan Pavilion.
The offline Hunan Pavilion was designed based on "Hunan's four major rivers – Xiangjiang, Zijiang, Yuanshui, and Lishui". It adopts VR and other technologies to showcase Hunan's homegrown brands via spatial models, videos, images, and online interactions.
There is a highlight in the Hunan Pavilion that visitors will be able to experience the scenario of "We can bring down the moon from the ninth heaven, or catch the giant turtles in the sea" which was depicted in a poem by Chinese late Chairman Mao Zedong. Furthermore, in the innovation hub-themed zone, models, giant images, and online interactions display Hunan's innovative achievements represented by deep-sea, deep-space, and deep-earth exploration.
Taking Changsha's popular streets as the background, visitors can take selfies and create short videos in a 360-degree round "studio" at the photography area, experiencing "Hunan tours" in Shanghai. Beyond that, Hunan embroidery and tea art performances will be staged at the pavilion.
The online exhibition will provide visitors with a visual feast. Based on H5 and VR technologies, Hunan's homegrown brands will be displayed in a 720-degree panoramic view, giving visitors an immersive window-shopping experience.
On the afternoon of May 12, a presentation on Hunan's achievements in brand construction, also the launching ceremony of the Hunan "Brand Observation Action", will be held at the center. Experts of the Hunan Brand Think Tank will be honored with letters of appointment.
