On the morning of April 22, the 2023 Jishou Aizhai Bridge Marathon kicked off at Aizhai Bridge Scenic Area. More than 1,500 people participated in the event and enjoyed the beautiful scenery along the race route.

The marathon race effectively showcased the unique geographic advantages of Jishou and integrated Xiangxi mountainous resources with the ethnic and cultural resources of the region. The race route, with Aizhai Bridge as the centerpiece landmark, was designed under the guidance of the Association of International Marathon and Distance Races (AIMS), to ensure both the professionalism of the event and runners' optimal sensory experience. During the race, participants passed through Miao Village and Aizhai Mountain Road, and reached the finish point of Dehang Miao Village Brocade Square. The event included three parts: full marathon, half marathon and health run. Finally, Ethiopian runners won the men's and women's marathon championships and the men's and women's half-marathon championships. 

Runners from home and abroad did warm-up exercises before the marathon.
