The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology recently released a list of green manufacturing for 2022, and Hunan Province stands out with impressive numbers. Hunan Province boasts 36 national-level green factories, three national-level green industrial parks, 39 national-level green products, and eight green supply chain management demonstration enterprises making the list, all ranking among the highest nationwide.

Statistics shows that, there are 136 national-level green factories, 13 green industrial parks, 122 green design products, and 16 green supply chain management demonstration enterprises around Hunan Province. The construction of a green manufacturing system has reached a new height.

Green manufacturing is a modern mode that integrates the green development concept into product design, production, techniques, technologies, and system. It aims to cut resource and energy consumption, and coordinate and optimize economic returns and social benefit.

The products, enterprises, and industrial parks shortlisted this time are distributed in 11 cities and one prefecture province-wide, including Changsha, Zhuzhou, and Xiangtan, and cover equipment manufacturing, biomedicine, construction materials, and clothing and textile sectors. 

According to Hunan's plan on the green manufacturing system construction, by 2025, Hunan will add 500 green factories, 50 green industrial parks, 50 green supply chain management demonstration enterprises, and 500 green design products at the provincial level and above.
