Ten tourist attractions in Hunan Province were added to the 4A category after a public review, according to a notice released on the official website of the Hunan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism on December 26.

China has a tourism-rating classification system which rates a tourist attraction from one A to 5A for its overall tourism quality.

The selected tourist attractions were recommended by local tourist attraction quality rating committees and evaluated in accordance with standards and regulations by the provincial tourist attraction quality rating committee.

The ten scenic spots include:
-- Tianhua Mountain in Changsha County;
-- Finless Porpoise Bay in Junshan District, Yueyang City;
-- Dayun Mountain in Yueyang County;
-- Zijinwan Happy Kingdom in Taojiang County, Yiyang City;
-- Meishan Cultural Park in Anhua County, Yiyang City;
-- Chaxiang Huahai Ecological and Cultural Experience Garden in Anhua County, Yiyang City;
-- Yangtianhu Grassland in Beihu District, Chenzhou City;
-- Yaoshan Water Town in Jianghua Yao Autonomous County, Yongzhou City;
-- Simeng Bishui Danxia Scenic Area in Xupu County, Huaihua City; and,
-- Chadong Scenic Area in Huayuan County, Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture.
