Nanyue Hengshan Mountain Core Scenic Aare, Shuilian Cave Scenic Area, Wanshou Tripod Scenic Area, and all religious venues in Nanyue District reopened to the public starting from 8:00 am on November 14, according to the tourism authority of Nanyue District, Hengyang City. The opening hours are between 8:00 and 17:30.
The scenic area strictly limits the number of visitors, implements staggered shifts and reservation systems. Paper tickets are not available now. Tourists are required to make a reservation in advance via the WeChat official account "Nanyue Tourism [南岳旅游]" and show their ID cards before entering.
Tourists can visit the scenic area via the All-for-one Tourist Service Center, Kangjialong, Bailongtan, Xiling, and Longfeng check-ins. To better prevent forest fires, ancient roads and footpaths in the scenic area are temporarily closed. Only the scenic spots along main roads are open. Smoking, and the carrying of lighters, joss sticks, candles and paper offerings are prohibited. Religious venues in the Nanyue Hengshan Mountain Core Scenic Area provide joss sticks for tourists free of charge.
Those with a travel history to places outside of Hunan Province and places inside Hunan Province with confirmed cases must provide negative nucleic acid test results within 48 hours before entering Nanyue District. They are also required to take nucleic acid tests on arrival and take two nucleic acid tests in three days.
Those who come from high-risk areas or have a travel history to counties (county-level cities, districts) with confirmed cases reported in the past seven days are not allowed to enter.
Tourists are required to cooperate in monitoring body temperature and checking health QR codes and digital travel records, wear a mask throughout the visit, keep a social distancing of more than 1 meter from others, and avoid gathering.
