The express, known as China's first "Maglev + Culture + Tourism" project in China, was officially opened for operation on the same day. It marked that Fenghuang County became the only county-level city and tourist attraction that has a maglev line for tourism nationwide. The design speed of the train is 100km/h, and the time for the whole journey is about 30 minutes. There are 4 feautred stations, integrating such elements as spectacular Fenghuang scenery, western Hunan culture, and crafts. The opening of the sightseeing express will realize a barrier-free transfer between high-speed rail and maglev, allowing tourists from all over the country to go directly to the scenic spots of the Fenghuang Ancient Town more conveniently while enjoying the beautiful scenery along the line.
