The presidium of the Fifth Session of the 13th Hunan Provincial People’s Congress held the second plenary meeting on the afternoon of January 17, 2022. Zhang Qingwei, executive chairman of the presidium, presided over the meeting.

The meeting listened to the report of the Environmental and Resource Protection Committee of the Hunan Provincial People's Congress on the deliberation opinions of the Hunan Provincial Implementation of the Land Management Law of the People's Republic of China (Draft), and the explanations on the proposed name lists of director, deputy directors, secretary general, and members of the Standing Committee of the 13th Hunan Provincial People’s Congress, and candidates for the director of the Hunan Provincial Supervisory Commission. It also discussed on the suggested by-election name lists of the director, deputy directors, secretary general, and members of the Standing Committee of the 13th Hunan Provincial People's Congress, and director of the Hunan Provincial Supervisory Commission by the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee. The name lists were approved after discussion. They were made as nomination of the presidium and woule be submitted to the representatives for deliberation and discussion.
