The Fifth Session of the 13th Hunan Provincial People's Congress opens at the People's Hall of Hunan Province at 9:00 am on January 17, 2022. Deputies attending the session will keep the missions in mind, shoulder expectations, fulfill their duties, unswervingly follow the path guide by President Xi Jinping, and forge ahead to get greater victories and glories on the new journey in the new area.

The conference was presided over by Zhang Qingwei, executive chairman of the presidium and executive chairman of the session. Mao Weiming, governor of Hunan Province, on behalf of the Hunan Provincial People's Government, delivered a government work report.

The session is scheduled to hear the explanatory remarks on the Hunan Province's Measures on Implementing the Land Administration Law of the People's Republic of China (Draft) presented by Zhou Nongzuo, deputy director of the Standing Committee of the Hunan Provincial People’s Congress, and vote on the Measures for the By-election of the Fifth Session of the 13th Hunan Provincial People's Congress (Draft). The following documents would be presented at the meeting, including the Report on Implementation of the 2021 National Economic and Social Development Plan of Hunan Province and the Draft Plan for 2022, and the Report on Implementation of the 2021 Budget of Hunan Province and the Draft Budget for 2022.
