On the morning of November 25, the 12th Hunan Provincial Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) convened grandly at the People’s Hall of Hunan Province. Comrade Zhang Qingwei, secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, made a report on behalf of the 11th CPC Hunan Provincial Committee.

The 12th CPC Hunan Provincial Congress is a very important conference held at the important moment of the centenary of the founding of the CPC, and the critical period of building a well-off society in all respects and embarking on a new journey of building a modern socialist country in an all-round way. The theme of the conference is:
-adhere to the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era;
-unswervingly follow the direction guided by President Xi Jinping;
-live up to the trust, fulfill the mission placed upon us, and be results-oriented, pioneering and responsive to the trend of the times;
-fully implement the strategic positioning and missions and tasks of the Three Highlands and Four New Missions;
-vigorously promote high-quality development; and,
-strive to build a new modern socialist Hunan Province in an all-round way.

The meeting will listen to and review the report of the 11th CPC Hunan Provincial Committee; deliberate the work report of the 11th CPC Hunan Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection (HNDI); and, elect the 12th CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and the 12th CPC HNDI.
