On the afternoon of February 25th, all the Hunan representatives attending the grand gathering to mark the nation's poverty alleviation accomplishments and honor model poverty fighters in Beijing returned to Changsha. Xu Dazhe, CPC Hunan Provincial Committee secretary and Hunan Provincial People's Congress Standing Committee director, and Mao Weiming, CPC Hunan Provincial Committee deputy secretary and Hunan governor, arrived by the same plane. Li Weiwei, CPPCC Hunan Provincial Committee chairwoman, went to the airport to greet them.

Wu Lan, CPC Hunan Provincial Committee deputy secretary, arrived by the same flight. Provincial leaders Huang Lanxiang, Xie Jianhui, Zhang Jianfei, Feng Yi, Zhang Hongsen, Li Dianxun, Yao Laiying, Wang Cheng, Wu Guiying, and Liu Lianyu greeted them at the airport. Sui Zhongcheng, Hunan vice governor, arrived by the same plane.

A grand gathering to mark the nation’s poverty alleviation accomplishments and honor model poverty fighters commenced at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, capital of China, on February 25, 2021. Hunan’s 90 advanced individuals and 67 collectives were commended at the event. Among them, Shibadong Village, Shuanglong Town, Huayuan County, Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture was honored as a “Role Model in China’s Poverty Alleviation Fight”.

Before boarding at the Beijing Capital International Airport, Secretary Xu and Governor Mao met with Shi Jintong, Hu Yongjun, Luo Jianhua, Zhou Zhiqiang, and other award-winning representatives, and encouraged everyone to cherish the honor, publicize and implement the spirit of the conference, and make persistent efforts to forge ahead on the promotion of rural revitalization.
