As of 24:00 on August 28, a total of 1,019 cumulative confirmed cases had been reported in Hunan, 4 people had died, and 1,015 patients had been discharged from hospitals. 

During the 24 hours of August 28, there was one new asymptomatic COVID-19 case reported in Hunan (imported one). There were no new cases out of quarantine. There was one people under medical observation.

A total of 27,779 close contacts have been traced, among whom 56 were under medical observation while 27,723 others have been discharged.
