During the 24 hours of April 5, Hunan reports no new confirmed COVID-19 cases.

As of 24:00 on April 5, a total of 1,019 cumulative confirmed cases had been reported in Hunan, 4 people had died, and 1,014 patients had been discharged from hospitals. 

During the 24 hours of April 5, no new asymptomatic COVID-19 cases were reported in Hunan. There were no new cases out of quarantine. Three are under medical observation, all of whom are imported cases. 

A total of 27,406 close contacts have been traced, among whom 118 are under medical observation while 27,288 others have been discharged.
