On February 28, the General Offices of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and the Provincial Government jointly issued a circular on protecting and caring for the frontline medical personnel   against the COVID-19 epidemic, and urged thorough implementation in all regions. This is to thoroughly implement President Xi Jinping’s important instructions and the deployments of the CPC Central Committee and the Station Council on epidemic prevention and control.

Twenty detailed measures of 6 aspects have been specified to help the frontline medical staff solve problems and ensure their physical and mental health in the battle against the virus.

The measures are from the following six aspects:

- Increasing their salaries and financial subsidies;

- Giving preference in cases of getting promotions or applying for professional titles, and to their children in school enrolling and employment;

- Guaranteeing supply of protective equipment, offering better logistics services, and improving safer working environment;

- Strengthening protection and cure, psychological intervention, and reasonable schedule to guarantee their physical and psychological health;

- Supporting and caring for the medical personnel, and giving timely commendation and honor, to harnessing the positive energy of the society; and,

- Specifying division of responsibilities, to ensure the measure to be put in place.
