On February 14 morning, a service stand set up by Changsha Chengtou Energy began disinfecting vehicles of those braving the epidemic at one of its gas stations on Zhongqing Road. Staffer Zhang Xunlong disinfected vehicles for 5 front-line workers for free in an hour. There are 3 service stands for free disinfection in Kaifu, Yuhua, and Tianxin Districts respectively.

Zheng Yawen, who is in charge of the company’s operations department, said that to guard against people forgetting vehicle disinfection, the company has purchased 3 sets of professional vehicle disinfection equipment. Those front-line workers against the COVID-19 epidemic will get free car disinfections if they make a telephone appointment in advance.

Currently only telephone appointments are available which is being done to avoid larger gatherings and long wait times.
