On January 6, the 6th Hunan Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition award ceremony and a press conference on “Qingchunyun Xiaoxiang” platform that assists young people in starting up business in poorer areas were held at the Science Park of the Central South University. A total of 30 projects were awarded. Wu Lan, deputy secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, presented prizes to first-prize winners.

Started in 2014, the competition has received 5,000 project applications, attracted more than 30,000 applicants, created more than 11,000 jobs, and offered a prize money of 12 million CNY.

At the ceremony, three groups of winners and excellent organizations were commended. A number of entrepreneurship training bases and entrepreneurship integrated service platforms were established. The first batch of ten entrepreneurship mentors were appointed.

The “Qingchunyun Xiaoxiang” platform aims to help aspiring young people start up business in their hometowns based on the technical, resource, and brand advantages of the digital countryside cloud platform. The young people may make contributions to poverty alleviation and rural vitalization.

In 2019, communist youth leagues at all levels in Hunan cooperated with financial institutions. They loaned 221 projects worth 91.07 million CNY for young people in poorer counties, and financed 301 projects worth 16.77 million CNY.
