On July 22, the Changsha Customs Authority held a press conference on imports and exports of Hunan Province in the first half of 2025 (H1). Changsha Customs Deputy Commissioner Xu Xiaojie announced the statistics.
The volume of Hunan's imports and exports amounted to 262.48 billion CNY in H1, according to a press conference on Hunan's foreign trade held on July 22, 2025. The exports reached 160.3 billion CNY, while the imports stood at 102.18 billion CNY.
Since the beginning of this year, Hunan's foreign trade has forged ahead despite the severe and complex international economic situation, effectively responding to the external shocks while stabilizing and improving the foreign trade situation. In this June alone, the provincial imports and exports increased 14.5% to 51.18 billion CNY, 9.3 percentage points higher than the national growth rate in the same period. Exports grew 14.3% to 31.86 billion CNY while imports climbed 14.9% to 19.32 billion CNY.
Hunan has witnessed continuous growth momentum. In the first half of this year, Changsha, Yueyang, Huaihua, Changde, Yiyang, and Xiangxi all achieved positive growth. Changsha's imports and exports surged to 136.76 billion CNY, accounting for 52.1% of the provincial total.
