The Industry and Information Technology Department of Hunan Province (HNDIIT) recently announced the key projects of ten application scenarios for digital Hunan construction plan in 2023. Forty-nine companies, such as the Willfar Information Technology Co. Ltd., were shortlisted for their digital application projects under construction, with a total planned investment of 1.57 billion yuan.

The ten digital Hunan application scenarios are intelligent transportation, energy, manufacturing, agriculture and water conservancy, education, medical care, culture and tourism, residential community, home appliances, and government services. Most of the 49 selected projects are in the field of intelligent manufacturing, with a total of 14. There are 8 projects involved in intelligent agriculture and water conservancy, taking the second place. Hunan's 13 cities and one prefecture all have made the list, and Changsha topped the list with 16 projects included.

"These key projects signify that Hunan Province have achieved certain results in the building of digital application scenarios. The manufacturing sector has a strong industrial basis and takes the lead in digital application. The agricultural field is highly motivated to digital transformation," said a person in charge of the HNDIIT Information Technology and Software Services Division.

A total of 349 candidate projects entered the expert evaluation process and the finally included 49 ones have significant advantages in innovation, and demonstration and leading effect. For instance, the Willfar's intelligent manufacturing workshop construction project has achieved a 20% increase in production efficiency, 40% surge in product quality accuracy, and 50% reduction in comprehensive product defective rate. The Yiyang Zhongwang intelligent bus brain project helps cut the company's operating costs by 56% and reduce bus accident rate by 96%, thanks to the use of artificial intelligence and other modern information technology.
