The Second Chinese 1024 Programmer's Day opened in Changsha on October 23rd. As one of the special activities of the two-day Programmer's Day event, the World Computing -- Changsha Intelligent Valley Promotion Conference was held at the Changsha National High-tech Industrial Development Zone. At the conference, the Changsha Artificial Intelligence Innovation Center was unveiled, and eight enterprises signed contracts to settle.

The World Computing -- Changsha Intelligent Valley Project is the Changsha’s advanced computing industry cluster area. The project covers an area of 913 mu or 60.9 hectares, with a total investment of about 18 billion yuan. Upon completion, it will attract 20 leading enterprises, 50 headquarters enterprises, 1,500 small and medium-sized enterprises, and 80,000 people to settle down and seek development chances.

At the promotion meeting, Peng Zhenwen, chairman and general manager of Changsha Software Park Co., Ltd., explained in detail to the participating enterprises on the project's industrial development plan, policy coordination at provincial, municipal, and district levels, talent development environment, and innovation and entrepreneurship environment.

The project will divide functional areas based on computing power, algorithms, data, and computing applications. It shall also further strengthen, extend and supplement the computing industry chain; cultivate and introduce many computing industry-related enterprises whose primary business income exceeds 100 million yuan; and promote the application of advanced computing in industrial manufacturing, digital content, government services, transportation, medical care, and education.

In addition, guided by public transportation, ecological protection, and exquisite urban construction will be organically integrated to set a fine example for "people-oriented" industrial community construction.
