34 Projects Signed, Constructed, Operated in Hunan Pilot Free Trade Zone Yueyang Area

On December 31, 2020, 34 industrial projects were signed, started construction, or put into production in the Yueyang area of China (Hunan) Pilot Free Trade Zone (FTZ). This is the third concentrated contract signing ceremony that was held since the establishment of the Yueyang area.

The 16 projects inked this time included Beijing Hydrogenergy and Motorola Bluetooth headsets, covering such areas as new materials, electronic information, and equipment manufacturing, with a total investment of 11.7 billion yuan. Meanwhile, 7 projects including Xunlong and Baoxin started construction. After these projects are put into production, they can create an annual output value of 15.1 billion yuan.

On the same day, 11 projects including Huawei New Kinpo High-end Manufacturing Base, InnoChina Super Aluminum Alloy Materials, Yonggao Composite Materials, and Xiaomi Printers were completed and put into production. In 2021, these projects are expected to create an output value of 27.9 billion yuan. The industrial chains cover more than 30 countries and regions such as the European Union, ASEAN countries, Japan, and South Korea. They will provide support for the Yueyang area to build an inland highland of reform and opening up.

Since the establishment of the FTZ Yueyang area, it has promoted investment promotion at an average rate of 6 market entities every day, and created three platforms of industrial parks, corridors, and headquarters bases. It has also carried out work at an accelerated frequency of completing a reform task every week.
